Dutch entrepreneur Fokke de Jong started flogging tailored Italian suits twenty years ago from the boot of his Renault station car.
It was one of a string ventures that the now international tycoon turned his hand to as a young lad - admittedly some more successfully than others. A gamble on refurbished pinball machines, for example, did not pay off.

Fokke de Jong founded menswear label Suitsupply from the boot of a car in the Netherlands in 2000 after a chance encounter threw him into the world of Italian textiles.
