HR Director United States

Suitsupply is a destination store with tailoring at its core. Our customers come back to us because we provide knowledgeable service and personal attention; combining craftsmanship with flair. Therefore you and your team find the best people who you help develop new skills, and supporting them throughout their careers. We are a small team in the US now but are rapidly expanding, and have a lot to do for a hands-on and insightful person.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop all levels of management, with special emphasis on Store Leaders and Specialists.
• Maintain knowledge of current human resource and benefit trends, laws, governmental compliance and company policies.
• Maintain a coherent remuneration structure for all store employees.
• Adapt Suitsupply European training programs for leadership and technical skills to US market.

Other Responsibilities:

• Provide support and guidance to market leadership with regard to strategic management changes and succession planning.
• Coordinate annual merit and employee evaluation process.
• Provide support for new store growth as it relates to store staffing and leadership development.

Desired Qualifications:

• Preference will be given to those with HR experience at a generalist level in a retail or service industry environment.
• Frequent overnight travel required.
• Bachelor’s degree and 7 years related HR management experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of employment law (federal and state), OD, facilitation techniques and recruiting practices.
