About the Madison fit
With their dominating profile, double-breasted suits are one of the more classic styles in men’s suiting. And though they were the choice cut for mid-century businessmen, slimmer, more tailored DBs like the Madison are quickly making a comeback as a popular contemporary style. The Madison features 6-on-2 button position, with 4 functional buttons and 2 for aesthetic purposes.
A peaked (or pointed) lapel is a style of lapel that carries upwardly pointed corners. As one of the earliest styles of lapel cuts, peaked lapels have found their way into traditional attire, and are the most common option on double-breasted suits. Unique to the Madison are the lapel's curve and double button holes.
The patch pockets of this Madison fit give the suit a more contemporary appeal than jackets with jetted or flap pockets.
